I had the idea of writing a musical ...
Yes, but what? At the beginning of his writing, I thought of "Penelope" in the Odyssey of Homer, Greek poet of the eighth century before J-C. He is represented as an old blind reciting his poems through Ancient Greece. He is the author of the Iliad and the Odyssey and many epic adventures. I imagined this woman tormented when she was waiting
Ulysse for 10 long years.
I started reading this narrative and poetic writing history with a fairly standard approach, but when I  met Thierry Sforza, who joined me on co-writing the libretto, the course of the story takes another turn. Whatever the time and generations, we all have the same concerns. The family is a refuge, a cocoon where we need to get together.
The good idea was to compare the lives of two couples who don't live in the same era. The first couple Penelope and Odysseus live their love story
before VIII J-C. They have a child Telemachus. Pamela and Ulrich live in the 50 years after World War II. They also have a son called Theo. These two families are facing the same problems as the fathers will be away from their, one war and the other through work.
I come to say that these women have to take things in hand, care for their children in the absence of the father and the difficulties of managing the constraints of life. Shall their marriage resist with time, with separations that will be long?

As soon as there is love, everything is easier even if you end up separated. Love is a leitmotif, it is what gives us the strength to walk the path of life, which is anything but plain sailing. Life is a long odyssey and time, it is only an illusion ...
Throughout the course of history, I wanted to write texts of strong songs that stick to the story and others a little more universal. I simply want to share the dream, emotion, adventure and love throughout this dramatic musical. We really hope that every viewer will vibrate and get into the characters.

- So then !! What is your gift?
- Wow! The Odyssey of Homer. Awesome.
- What, a book? You think it's great? You could not ask for a fire truck or a bike?
- Ah, but you can not understand. I dreamed for months: The Journey of Odysseus. Circe, Calypso, Cyclops ...
- Hey, calm down. First is that Ulysse? ...
That's it. I was nine and it's Christmas. Finally, a wish fulfilled. I can immerse myself in this fantasy epic, written
before  six centuries J-C. The time when the gods spoke to humans, where among the humans, amounted demigods performing extraordinary feats that are still vibrate our imagination.
Hardly had I encountered the idea of a show by Joëlle, who wrote the content, I rode my imagination. Pegasus, my piano, already carrying me away from it all, to meet this legendary warrior: the industrious Ulysses.
But long before the dream there is construction.

Find the musicianship both orchestral and enveloping, music that is not frozen in time.
Obviously, having a virtual orchestra at home, at any time of day or night, allows testing and failures. The musical complexity is not appropriate. Simple, flexible sentences even if very orchestrated.
Music that pose new standards: as a soundtrack to a live performance.
A fresco, in fact.
Zither disputes the bouzouki, the aulos and the tambourine.
2500 years later, these instruments are valid, treated vip breast of the score, they benefit from today's technology for a timeless sound. A blend of power and emotion.
Travel with us, comrades! And an epic guide us !
